Exercises and Stretches
We have posted descriptions and pictures of how to perform certain exercises and stretches that Dr. Le Cara may have prescribed for you.
Physical rehabilitation is an important part of any recovery plan and provides many benefits during the healing and preventative stages. In the beginning, exercise prevents muscle deterioration and promotes joint health. Later on, exercises increase strength, proprioception and stability, which reduce the likelihood of sustaining new injuries and minimize the recurrence of previous injuries. When combined with the appropriate stretches, exercises also enhance flexibility and mobility.
Please do not attempt to perform exercises other than those that Dr. Le
Cara has prescribed for you without checking with him first. While many
of these exercises are safe and beneficial for the majority of individuals,
there is the possibility that they may not be appropriate for your particular
condition.
